Valentine's Feature Install

Valentine's Feature Install

A Room Full of Hearts

This Valentine's event was designed for children and families to come together for a day of activities, creativity, and celebration. From the moment I walked into the space I knew I wanted it to feel bright, welcoming, and full of energy - something that would immediately make kids smile.

The color palette was classic and festive: pink, red, and white. Simple, timeless, and perfect for a room filled with little ones excited to celebrate.

Designing for Kids (But Still Elevated)

Because this event centered around children's activity stations, I focused on creating pieces that were playful but still polished. The candy-cane style stanchions & columns helped frame the room, while the larger balloon installation around the cupcake shelving created a bold focal point.

I loved incorporating different balloon sizes throughout the garland to give it movement and depth. The mix of reds, soft pinks, and crisp whites made the entire space feel cheerful without being overwhelming.

Install Day Reflections

Install day always brings a mix of focus and excitement for me. Watching an empty room slowly transform into something festive is one of my favorite parts of the process

Layer by layer, the balloons started to fill the space - first the stanchions, then the tall heart column, then the larger organic installation. Once everything was in place, the room felt completely different. It went from neutral to vibrant in just a few hours.

Seeing it all come together reminded me how much I've grown in my confidence with larger installs and full-room styling.

Looking Ahead

Every event teaches me something new, whether it's about scale, spacing, or trusting my creative instincts. This Valentine's setup felt like another step forward in refining my style and continuing to grow into the kind of designer I want to become.

If you're planning a seasonal event or children's celebration, I'd love to help create something custom and memorable for your space.
